XenoRaptor

XenoRaptor:

The Game of Sending Attack Bears at Chainsaw Skull Pilots as a Cyberdragon In Space

That just sounds like a game full of testosterone. I found this game probably 4 days ago, and what I just mentioned in the heading doesn't even tip the iceberg of this game.

What is XenoRaptor?
XenoRaptor is a co-op arcade-like space shooter. There's not really a story involved; it's just a hectic, challenging game with a lot of customization. Customization such as a plasma flamethrower to accompany my heavy incendiary chain-gun. And let us not forget the crazier weapons (that I have yet to unlock), like sending a bear to attack the pilot of other ships, and a gravity gun to make asteroids demolish your foes.

And the game isn't even finished.

There's still a lot more features to be added. With that being said, you can get it at the official XenoRaptor website for $10 (Australian Dollars, 91 cents to a US dollar) while it's still in beta. It has it's few problems (a lot of which tend to be subjective, like whether the movement speed is too slow), but this is definitely a solid game, especially for a beta. Personally, a game where you just shoot stuff and try to not die is refreshing to me; in a time period in gaming that seems to be based on making sure to be story driven and socially progressive in one form or another, often skimping out on what makes a game different from an interactive novel, the engaging gameplay.

That's all I have to say about this game for now (after all, I have to get back to unlocking some more weapons).  Be sure to check out the official website, try out the demo, and be sure to check out the Greenlight page and vote!
